Philodendrons are easygoing tropical plants that thrive in bright, filtered light but tolerate medium light environments as well. Water when the soil is about half dry and use a chunky potting mix for great drainage and airflow. With the right care, Philodendrons can grow impressive, large leaves. They come in climbing, crawling, and trailing varieties: climbers enjoy a support pole, while crawlers prefer oval or rectangular pots to stretch across.
Philodendron Rugosum is a climbing philodendron native to Ecuador. It is sometimes referred to as the pigskin philodendron, due to its thick, textured leaves.
