Cordylines prefer bright, indirect light, but can tolerate medium light levels. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the leaves. Water thoroughly, then allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering again. Water less often in the winter. Avoid overwatering and don't let the plant stand in water. Cordylines also benefit from higher humidity levels.
